Children were not forgotten

St Vincent de Paul Paramin Conference celebrated its first Christmas Luncheon on Sunday, December 16, with donors, recipients and their children.

Among the distinguished guests were Fr Allan Mohammed OP, parish priest and spiritual director; Br Clive Belgrave, SVP Honorary Secretary and his wife; Sr Yvette Woodruffe, Administrative Secretary at the SVP Secretariat and President of the Paramin Development Committee Roger Brown.

The celebration began with an opening prayer and blessing of the meal by Fr Mohammed.

A DJ and a parang group from Paramin entertained the gathering and the arrival of Santa Claus with his bag of toys brought great excitement to all the children. God blessed the event with brilliant sunshine so it was possible to entertain the guests in the churchyard.

The President Br Gregory Romain and members of SVP Paramin Conference take this opportunity to thank, in particular, the donors for providing Sunday lunches for recipients throughout the year.

Thanks also to those who attended the luncheon; without you the day would not have been as enjoyable and successful as it was.
